I’m standing here again,
gazing into nothingness.
My thoughts wandering afar,
in a distant I know too well.
Was it just yesterday,
that you’re standing here next to me?
Your eyes full of emotions,
Yet none of them was uttered.
Thinking of it now makes me wonder,
would I have taken that step if you spoke?
Could I have stayed if you begged me to?
Alas, it wouldn’t matter now, would it?
And yet standing here again,
I can’t help but think of you.
Of those eyes filled with unspoken emotions,
and the realization that I deeply hurt you.
If by chance you see me again,
would you spare a glance to be sure?
Or otherwise pass by; walk away,
Like I did on that day when we stood there.
